Instructions for retrieving your IP address from Vonage stand alone telephone adapters (without a built-in router)
By Default, Vonage stand alone telephone adapters receive the IP address from the router they are connected to. Therefore, this IP address may change.
Cisco ATA-186
To obtain the IP address of the Cisco ATA-186, perform the following steps:
  1. Pick up the phone connected to the Phone1 port of the Cisco ATA-186.
  2. The button on the device will turn red.
  3. Press the button. The IVR (Interactive Voice Response) will respond with the configuration menu.
  4. Dial 80#
  5. The IVR will respond with the IP address.
D-Link VTA
To obtain the IP address of the D-Link VTA, perform the following steps:
  1. Pick up the phone connected to the Phone1 port of the D-Link VTA. This must be a phone that supports Caller-ID.
  2. Dial *11
  3. The IP address will appear on the Caller-ID display.
Linksys PAP2 / PAP2v2
To obtain the IP address of the Linksys PAP2 or PAP2v2, perform the following steps:
  1. Pick up the phone connected to the Phone1 port of the Linksys device.
  2. Dial ****. The IVR (Interactive Voice Response) will respond with the configuration menu.
  3. Dial 110#
  4. The IVR will respond with the IP address.
