Then it'll be a local call for them. With Vonage you can have as many virtual numbers as you like. Virtual Phone Numbers are low cost secondary numbers. They ring to your primary Vonage line or SoftPhone. We offer you the freedom of maintaining a local presence anywhere you choose.
Virtual phone numbers are used for inbound calls, so all features including Caller ID and voicemail assigned to your primary number will continue to work. If you have a virtual number pointed to one telephone number, all features turned on for your telephone number will also work for your virtual number You can also have multiple Virtual Phone Numbers pointing to the same primary number.

How do I add a Virtual Number?

  1. Log on to your Online Account. Click the Features tab.
  2. Click on Add Virtual Phone Numbers.
  3. Select the Location, State and area code for your Virtual Number. Select Your Vonage Number and click Continue.
  4. Review your selections and click Accept, or Edit to change your selections.
    You will receive your new Virtual number in an email order confirmation.

How do I Remove a Virtual Phone Number?

  1. Log on to your Online Account. Click the Features tab.
  2. Click Manage Virtual Phone Numbers.
  3. Select the Virtual Phone Number you would like to remove and click View, click Remove.
  4. Review yourselection and click Accept or Cancel your selections. Once you remove a Virtual Phone Number you will not be able to reuse the same number.

What is an International Virtual Phone Number?

International Virtual Numbers allow your friends and family overseas to call you without paying international rates. And it's cheap for you too. International Virtual Numbers are inexpensive secondary numbers that ring to your primary Vonage line.
The advantage is that people overseas can call you for the price of a local call if you choose a Virtual Number in their area code. You can have as many lines as you like and maintain a local presence anywhere you choose.
